Presentation

The Bachelor in Retail Management (REM) at ESUV is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 6, designed to train field managers capable of autonomously managing a store, commercial unit, or department.

This programme is perfectly aligned with the needs of Managers responsible for driving the commercial performance of retail units, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The ESUV Bachelor REM enables students to become highly operational from their first professional experience or to pursue further studies at Bac+4/5 level. The programme includes courses, conferences, masterclasses, and Business Games delivered by professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

Prerequisites

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Baccalaureate and Bac+2

Prerequisites: The Bachelor in Retail Management at ESUV is open to holders of a baccalaureate qualification and, for entry into the third year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

Programme objectives

The Bachelor in Retail Management (REM) at ESUV is a state-recognised Level 6 qualification designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Master the monitoring of sales revenue, gross margin, average basket value, and conversion rate.

  • Optimise orders to avoid stockouts while limiting overstocking, and manage relationships with suppliers.

  • Learn to prepare sales forecasts and implement corrective action plans in case of deviations.

  • Identify staffing needs and onboard new team members.

  • Conduct daily briefings, hold individual meetings, and develop the skills of sales staff.

  • Manage schedules, allocate tasks, and ensure compliance with labour legislation.

  • Learn merchandising techniques to organise products in a way that encourages impulse purchases.

  • Manage the complementarity between the physical store and digital services.

  • Analyse the catchment area to identify the strengths and weaknesses of direct competitors.

  • Implement in-store promotions or local marketing activities to generate foot traffic.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and handle complaints or disputes to maintain customer loyalty.

Further Studies

This Bachelor’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the opportunity to enrol in the first year of a Master’s degree programme.

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December 2026.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

  • 3 years for students holding a Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification
