Presentation

The Bachelor in Start-Up and Business Development (SBD) at ESUV is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 6, designed to transform creative or analytical profiles into true business builders. The aim is not only to learn how to manage an existing company, but also to create value where it does not yet exist.

This programme is perfectly aligned with the needs of Managers responsible for promoting entrepreneurial initiatives, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The ESUV Bachelor SBD enables students to become highly operational from their first professional experience or to pursue further studies at Bac+4/5 level. The programme includes courses, conferences, masterclasses, and Business Games delivered by professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

Students also benefit from connections with our network of premium partner companies to undertake their work-study programme.

Prerequisites

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Baccalaureate and Bac+2

Prerequisites: The Bachelor in Start-Up and Business Development at ESUV is open to holders of a baccalaureate qualification and, for entry into the third year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

Programme objectives

The Bachelor in Start-Up and Business Development (SBD) at ESUV is a state-recognised Level 6 qualification designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Learn how to identify real problems and design innovative solutions.

  • Know how to test a concept quickly with an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to validate the market without incurring high costs.

  • Adopt flexible working methods (Scrum, Kanban) to pivot rapidly when necessary.

  • Identify and approach key partners or clients.

  • Master the art of B2B (Business to Business) sales and contract negotiation.

  • Use marketing and technological techniques to achieve rapid growth at low cost.

  • Learn to model future profitability.

  • Manage cash flow and monitor the speed at which funds are spent.

  • Prepare for fundraising rounds (Seed, Series A) and persuade Business Angels.

  • Learn to view failure as a step in the learning process.

  • Know how to recruit and unite a team around a common vision in an uncertain environment.

  • Be capable of moving from marketing to accounting or legal tasks within a single day.

Further Studies

This Bachelor’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the opportunity to enrol in the first year of a Master’s degree programme.

Students entering the first year of the Master’s programme are required to validate all skills blocks

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December 2026.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

Duration

DURATION OF STUDIES:

  • 3 years for students holding a Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification

COMPONENT 2: CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Validation of skills blocks:

  • Block 1: Coordinate and improve the commercial activity of the retail establishment

  • Block 2: Contribute to the strategic directions of the brand and optimise the economic performance of the retail establishment

  • Block 3: Manage the employees of the retail establishment
