Presentation

The Bachelor in International Trade (CI) at ESUV is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 6, designed to train versatile professionals capable of supporting companies in their expansion into international markets.

This programme is perfectly aligned with the needs of Managers involved in international commercial operations, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The ESUV Bachelor CI enables students to become highly operational from their first professional experience or to pursue further studies at Bac+4/5 level. The programme includes courses, conferences, masterclasses, and Business Games delivered by professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

Students also benefit from connections with our network of premium partner companies to undertake their work-study programme.

Prerequisites

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Baccalaureate and Bac+2

Prerequisites: The Bachelor in International Trade at ESUV is open to holders of a baccalaureate qualification and, for entry into the third year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

Programme objectives

The Bachelor in International Trade (CI) at ESUV is a state-recognised Level 6 qualification designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Understand and apply international rules that define the responsibilities of the seller and the buyer in terms of risks and costs.

  • Complete the required documentation, understand customs duties and rules of origin in order to avoid delays or blockages at borders.

  • Analyse the potential of a market before entering it.

  • Adapt sales techniques to the cultural specificities of international counterparts.

  • Identify and select local agents, distributors, or franchisees.

  • Use secure mechanisms such as Documentary Credit to guarantee payment for goods.

  • Understand the impact of currency fluctuations on the profitability of a contract.

  • Draft simple sales contracts and understand jurisdiction clauses in the event of disputes.

  • Select the most appropriate modes of transport and optimise costs.

  • Understand that commercial success often depends on respecting social codes, politeness rituals, and non-verbal communication styles specific to each culture.

  • Be able to conduct meetings, write reports, and negotiate exclusively in English.

Further Studies

This Bachelor’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the opportunity to enrol in the first year of a Master’s degree programme.

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December 2026.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

DURATION OF STUDIES:

  • 3 years for students holding a Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification

Validation of skills blocks:

  • Block 1: Coordinate and improve the commercial activity of the retail establishment
